Currently Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669) ranks as the best known but also the most controversial Dutch artist of the 17th century. Disputes surround his character as well as the quantity, quality, and significance of his art. Zirka Filipczak, Professor of Art History at Williams, organized this exhibition of Dutch prints by Rembrandt and other artists of his time to support her Fall tutorial on this famous artist.
