The exhibition explores the many manifestations of the grid in art—as a visual framework and as a subject in itself. Including works by artists such as Agnes Martin (b. Macklin, Canada, 1912-2004), Eadweard Muybridge (English, 1830-1904), and Joseph Cornell (American, 1903-1972), this exhibition challenges viewers to consider the myriad ways our lives are mediated by grids—from tiled floors to comic books to city streets.
