For the ancient Greeks, the Iliad was both entertainment and a record of their past. The exhibition traces Homer’s epic poem across history through ancient and modern works of art. Greek vases and armor, along with prints by Winslow Homer, a WWI poster, and war photography, take us from the wrath of the hero Achilles to universal images of war and peace.
