Sound piece inspired by
meteorites and the moon
Neil Leonard, the Arthur Levitt, Jr. '52 Artist-in-Residence at Williams, will present a remix of his "Sonance for the Precession," a sound piece inspired by
meteorites and the moon, in conjunction with "Candle (from Earth into a Black Hole)."
Katie Paterson’s Candle (from Earth into a Black Hole) unfolds over time during multiple activations over the course of its installation. At each, the candle will burn for two hours, releasing different layers of scent alongside interventions inspired by the installation.
The candle will burn from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interventions begin in the Reading Room at 6 p.m.
Additional activations on Oct. 24 and Nov. 7 and 21.
