Last fall, the international art collective Ghana ThinkTank teamed up with WCMA and Williams Students to ask members of our community: How Does Climate Change Affect You? Here’s what we heard, again and again: “The lack of beautiful snow is deeply affecting my psyche!” and.. “Cross-country skiing is an important part of growing up and becoming a part of this community, and we won’t have cross-country skiing in 40 years because we won’t have snow anymore.”  The think tanks in Morocco and Indonesia responded with these suggestions: Use the extinction of snow as a reminder to bring back what is already extinct—storytelling, cultural performance, festivals, etc. Hold a marathon reading of literature about snow—Jack London, Walt Whitman, TS Eliot.
