In Vase of the Winds II, Fritz Bultman combines a number of geometric metal slabs together like a collage. Each of the bronze sections bends outward like the unfurling petals of a flower, leaves fluttering in the wind, or a bird about to take flight. Oscillating between man-made materials and natural forms, the bumpy surface and fretted edges of the cast bronze resemble that of a stone or an old tree trunk.
