Richard McDermott Miller (b. 1922, New Philadelphia, OH; d. 2005)

Richard McDermott Miller began his career as sculptor in the 1950s after he left the family manufacturing business and moved to New York. Miller saw the human form as a subject to be discovered and explored which he does here with great effect and detail. Diane turns on her pedestal, further connecting the viewer with the sculpture.
